Experienced Theatre Nurse – Full Time

If you have a passion for working in the Operating Theatre and want a new challenge, PresMed Australia is looking for a full time Registered Nurse with experience in the Operating Theatre.

Epping Surgery Centre was established in June 2004 and is a state-of-the-art facility, specialised in providing a full range of eye surgery procedures including cataract and oculoplastic eye surgery.

Epping Surgery Centre is part of the PresMed Day Hospital Group. PresMed specialises in the investment, commissioning and management of day hospital facilities in partnership with surgeons, and has established 4 major facilities in Chatswood, Epping, the Central Coast and Hornsby, with more than 130 accredited surgeons associated with the group.

Essential Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration
  • Post-Graduate Perioperative Nursing Certificate or equivalent operating room experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to deliver excellent clinical care
  • A considerate and appropriate attitude

Duties:

  • Provides safe and effective nursing care to patients in the operating room
  • Displays a high level of clinical competency as the Scrub Registered Nurse
  • Maintains excellent communications and teamwork with the nursing and medical team
  • Ensures the efficient and effective utilisation of human and material resources (perioperative instrumentation and equipment) to facilitate a high standard of care
  • Actively contributes and participates in Quality Improvement activities
  • Maintains a safe working environment in the operating room and day surgery
  • Demonstrates a commitment to self-development and continuing professional development
